How can I allow a specific number of free high-resolution image downloads?
If you are a photographer who wants to be able to sell high-resolution downloads but wants to include a certain number of downloads for free, you can use one of the two workflows. You can allow a specific number of downloads in your download settings or send your client a coupon for free downloads. This tutorial will show you how to send a coupon for free downloads to your client.
First, you will want to set your high resolution pricing point for your galleries and then create a coupon for free product for your client(s). The coupon will be saved as a template and can be conveniently used for other future clients.
Begin by accessing your store from the main dashboard and reviewing the pricing under “sell high-res images”. Hover over Sell High-Res Images and click on Edit Pricing.
Set your price per image and click Apply.
While creating a gallery, select Gallery Setup. Proceed by selecting Client Can Download Photos and clicking on Settings.
Select Sell High-Res Photos. Click Apply.
Once you create your coupon, the template will be saved for future use. This allows you to conveniently resend the coupon to any future clients. Begin by clicking on the Marketing tab on the main dashboard.
Select Free Product.
Fill out the description, set the expiration date and click on Select Product.
Select Download High-res Photos and indicate how many free digital downloads you would like to allow for your client and click Apply.
Once you are back on the in the main coupon tray, review your information and select Choose Recipients to pull up your list of clients.
Select the recipient by clicking on their email. When finished click on Preview Email.
Your client will receive the email exactly as it is being displayed on the right side. Draft your email and click on Send Email (you will get one more prompt before your email is sent).
Adjust your email subject, schedule and reminder as needed. Click on Send Email when ready (your email will be sent once you click this).
Your client is now ready to purchase their high resolution images.
