What steps should I take to receive an accurate 1099 form from Pic-Time?

For U.S. photographers, a 1099 form will be issued by Pic-Time by the last day of January and sent to the physical address listed in your account. The 1099 form is sent to photographers who have their payment collected by Pic-Time in the store (at any time during the year 2020) and who made more than $600 in profits for the year. This form will report the sum of profits made from your store sales.

To make sure that your 1099 form reflects accurate information and is received in a timely manner, we ask you to check your account information by January 14th, 2021.

1. Make sure that the Name on Invoice and Tax Number fields are filled out in your account settings. Be sure that the number matches the correct name registered with the IRS. For example, if you identify your account with your legal name make sure you match it to your personal ID number, and vice versa if you identify with a legal business name.

In the Name on Invoice field under the Plans & Billing tab, enter the name under which you conduct your business. Then enter the corresponding Federal Tax Number (a 9-digit SSN or EIN).

2. Make sure your address (no P.O. box) with zip code and phone number is entered correctly under your Profile tab.
